Tampa Family Health Centers

Who We Are

Tampa Family Health Centers, Inc. (TFHC) was founded in 1984. The concept of TFHC was the result of a ‘grass roots’ effort sought to provide health care for the poor and uninsured residents of the inner city of Tampa. The proposal grew out of the “Mode City” initiative of the early eighties.

Growing from taking care of the homeless population to taking care of the underinsured and Medicaid HMO population, we now have 18 easily accessible locations, telemedicine options and mobile medical and dental units. TFHC provides a full range of comprehensive, integrated services including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology / Obstetrics, Family Planning, Senior Care, Behavioral Health, Podiatry, Dental (Pediatric & Adult) Pharmacy and more!

high quality, accessible health care

Today, TFHC is one of the largest federally qualified health centers (FQHC) in the state of Florida. As a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, we are dedicated to providing high quality, accessible health care to the Hillsborough County community.

Tampa Family Health Center’s mission is to provide quality, caring, and accessible health care to a culturally diverse community.

Our vision is to promote a holistic system of primary care in an emerging landscape of healthcare innovation in the Tampa Bay Area.

Our core values are Teamwork, Integrity, Dedication, Innovation, Caring, and Quality in everything we do.

Our Patient Focus

We are a “patient-centered medical home,” a one-stop shop for all of your health care needs. We are much more than a walk-in clinic or regular doctor’s office. Whether it is the common cold or continued care of a chronic illness, we are here for you. Our team of caring doctors and staff focuses on helping you achieve your health goals quickly and easily.

Our Community Focus

We work with local schools, shelters, and faith-based programs to provide health care, support, education, and outreach to the Tampa Bay community. We also serve as a referral source for services such as food, shelter, financial counseling, as well as local, state, and federal assistance programs.
